First Aid at Work Requalification
This two day requalification course is designed to refresh the first aiders knowledge and skills along with obtaining any recent updates in first aid procedures.
A current first aid certificate must be held by the individual. Evidence of this will need to be shown to the instructor on the first day of training. This course may be attended up to three months before the certificate expiry date but must be completed within 28 days of the certificate expiry date.
Each delegate will enjoy re-living the experience of practical sessions and dynamic teaching methods from one of the 'Pulse' team.
The outcome of the course will enable the individual to respond to an accident or illness promptly, effectively and safely, use first aid equipment including the content of a first aid box, maintain records with regard to any treatment of an emergency and understand their employers duties and legislation.
Topics covered
Other organisation specific topics will also be covered i.e epilepsy and diabetes.
Who should attend?
Those qualified in First Aid at Work who require re training to sustain the validity of their certificate.
Course duration
This course is held over a minimum of 2 days and maximum of 6 weeks. (12hrs)
Maximum course numbers
Maximum of 12 delegates.
Certification
Those who are successfully assessed on the final day of the course will be issued with a certificate by Pulse First Aid Ltd that will be valid for a further 3 years from the old expiry date. The HSE strongly recommend that a 3hr update should be attended each year after the course until the third year when the course should be re taken to retain a valid certificate.
