The Emergency First Aid at Work is a one day course that is regulated by the HSE. This course was introduced on 1st October 2009.
Those who attend will be able to act as a first aider in the workplace.
By sucessfully completing this course the individual will have a very good understanding of dealing with an emergency through practice sessions and theory.

- Importance of basic hygiene
- Acting safely, promptly and effectively in an emergency
- Unconciousness
- Siezures
- CPR
- Wounds and bleeding
- Shock
- Choking
- Minor Injuries
Who should attend
This course is ideal for organisations where the need for a full three day First aid at Work qualified first aider is not necessary. Those who attend will aquire the necssary knowledge to deal with first aid provision within the organisation.
Those who wish to gain knowledge in the topics covered.
Course duration
This course is held over 6 hrs excluding breaks. (1 day)
Maximum course numbers
Maximum of 12 delegates.
Certification
Those who attend the course will be issued with a certificate from Pulse First Aid Ltd that will be valid for three years. The HSE strongly recommend that a 3hr update should be attended each year after the course until the third year when the course should be re taken to retain a valid certificate.
