The three hour update course is designed for those delegates that have taken a three day First Aid at Work, 2 day First Aid at Work refresher or the one day Emergency First Aid course and have a current certificate. This course is designed to be attended each year in-between re-qualifying to keep up to date with any changes and to refresh your skills.
We can come and deliver this course at your work setting where you will have the flexibility of starting the course as early as you would like or alternatively you can request a later start on a date of your choice that suits you and your staff.
Each student will receive colourful, comprehensive information sheets and a certificate that will be valid for 3 years.
It is strongly recommended by the HSE that those who have attended the three day, 2 day or one day course should do a 3hr refresher each year thereafter until the third year. They should then renew by taking either a 2 day First Aid at Work Requalification or a 1 day Emergency First Aid at Work course depending on their initial certification. This will ensure they remain qualified first aiders.
Assessment: You will be required to successfully complete a short multiple choice paper and will be assessed on your practical skills to qualify for your certificate.
This First Aid course has a mix of theory and practical elements. You will be required to kneel on the floor for some of the practical elements.
If you have any concerns about your ability to complete this element please contact us to discuss.
Should you require a RQF accredited course please let us know as we can also offer this option click here for more details.
This course is most suited to:
Those who have previously gained a three day First Aid at Work or a one day Emergency First Aid at Work certificate who need to refresh their skills. This course should be taken one year after the initial course and then again the following year.
